Mornington Hobart Holiday Park - Things to see and do

Located across the highway from our park, the
Clarence Mountain Bike Park is sure to get the heart started. Located in the Meehan Range on Hobart’s eastern shore, it's drier than the Wellington Range on the other side of the river making it suitable for use during winter.

Within the park there is a pump track, dirt jumps and a range of trails catering for beginners (green circle), intermediate (blue square) and advanced (black diamond) riders.

The park is set in a valley so the easy tracks are located in the flatter areas close to the highway.

To reach the top of the Meehan Skyline Trail there’s only one way up – the Corkscrew Climb – which is a technically challenging intermediate track.

There’s a choice of descending tracks with the Corkscrew Descent and Dinosaur Descent catering for intermediate riders while the Grassy Valley Descent has technical rock lines for advanced riders.

Salamanca Place is a hub for the creative. There are dozens of shops, galleries and pubs to wander into. It’s also the home of the famous Salamanca Market every Saturday, and where you’ll find the finest local produce.

Take a trip back in time when you visit Australia’s oldest convict bridge. Built by convicts in 1823, this bridge is a special piece of the nation’s history and an amazing sample of architecture.
