Alice Springs Beanie Festival 2018

Date: 29 June to 2nd July 2018

The 2018 Alice Springs Beanie Festival will be held at the Araluen Arts Centre, Larapinta Drive, Alice Springs.

Book workshops including the Indigenous workshops with the Tjanpi Desert Weavers and special Indigenous jewllery, batik and dying workshops! 

Local Aboriginal women give demonstrations of Indigenous methods of spinning and basketry each festival. These demonstrations are highly popular, as it is a time of sharing culture and skills.

Alice Springs Camel Cup 2018

Date: 14 July 2018

The 2018 Alice Springs Camel Cup will be held on the 14th of July, at the Blatherskite Park, Alice Springs.

The 2018 Alice Springs Desert Festival will be held across 5 great venues and 3 public outdoor spaces throughout Alice Springs.

Run Larapinta

Henley on Todd Regatta

Date: 18th August 2018

The Henley-on-Todd Regatta is an annual 'boat' race in the normally dry sandy bed of the Todd River, Alice Springs.

This is totall;y unique because it is 1500km’s from the nearest large body of water. The race features bottomless boats racing down the dry Todd river in the centre of Alice Springs. A sight not to be missed!
